It not just factory shop floor noise that can damage hearing.
A Canadian professor concluded a recent study into noise exposure in music teachers saying “the hair cells of the inner ear simply crumble under the load, and they don’t grow back again.”
This could be true of any sound, most of which you may not consider particularly loud.
We even ignore the warning signs when we are aware of them - like ringing sounds in the ear or a temporary dullness of hearing.
If you expose your ears to noise, why not look after them as damage is reversible.
